What is an AI visibility report?

An AI visibility report shows whether AI assistants recommend your business when a customer asks for the best in your category and city. Renownly asks ChatGPT and Google's AI the question your customers ask, then shows who they named, whether you're one of them, and how their reviews compare with yours.

What's in your report

  • Whether ChatGPT and Google's AI name your business, engine by engine
  • The businesses each one named instead, with their Google rating and review count next to yours
  • Where you rank in Google Maps for the same search
  • The "best of" lists and directories ChatGPT used for its answer, and whether you're on each one

How it works

  1. Tell us your business name, what kind of business it is, and your city.
  2. We ask ChatGPT and Google's AI “best [your business type] in [your city]” and pull the Google Maps top 20 for the same search.
  3. About a minute later the report opens on screen, at a private link you can bookmark and share.

Why it matters

Customers increasingly ask an AI who to hire, and each answer names only a handful of businesses. When we ran 168 of these searches across 12 industries in Dallas–Fort Worth, 41% of businesses with 4.6+ stars and 60+ reviews were named by neither engine. Which AI engines does it check?

ChatGPT (with web search on) and Google's AI Mode, the two places customers most often ask an AI who to hire. We also check the Google Maps results for the same search so you can compare the AI's picks with your reviews.

Why might I see a different answer when I ask myself?

AI answers change by person, location and day. The report is a dated snapshot of what each engine said when we asked, and it includes a link so you can ask ChatGPT the same question yourself.

What if my business isn't named?

You're in good company: in our study of 12 industries, 41% of top-rated local businesses weren't named by either engine. The report shows who was named instead, and our Sprint is the low-risk way to fix it for one service.

What do you do with my information?

We use it to run your report and follow up once by email. We never sell it. Ask and we delete it.
